The Grand Tour - Part 1

It seems to have been a while since I have held my camera, let alone gone out to play with it. So today, Sunday morning, as I was up with the lark, I thought it was an ideal time to go out. As it was 7am I thought it worth driving up to town, and I was rewarded with a parking space in Covent Garden. The main idea of going to London was to see The Grand Tour. It would have been so easy to take pictures of famous pieces of art, but I wanted to try and illustrate that they have just been put up on any free blank wall. So here are my efforts:

"The Whistlejacket" by George Stubbs

"Bathers at La Grenouillere" by Claude Monet

WhistleJacket <3
My favourite piece of art.
The lifesize portraits of Lord Rockinghams racehorses, Whistlejacket & Scrub will be exhibited in public together for the first time, where they'll hang head to head, meeting again after 250 years.
o0o0o0o And Scrub has never been seen before in public!!
September 12th to November 9th 2008 xx
